Considering A Vintage Inspired Engagement Shoot? Let This Long Island Couple Inspire You!

Have ever considered doing something undeniably fun and out of the ordinary for your engagement shoot, but aren't sure where to begin? You can start right here on Long Island Wedding Guide where we were contacted by Mariah and Dominick who were so excited to share their retro-style experience with everyone!

Read what Mariah had to say!

"When it comes to wedding planning, my fiancé and I always try to think outside the box - how can we stand out and incorporate the “wow” factor in everything we do?

Have you ever seen a retro engagement shoot? Probably not, and you can bet we jumped on that theme faster than the time it took me to say yes to my dress (it took me 4 months, but you get the point)!

Planning this shoot was simple: What restaurant really took us back to the 1950’s? We obviously weren’t around during that time, but the nostalgic feeling Krisch’s gave off made us feel as if we just finished roller skating and needed to kick-back with some ice cream at the parlor!

Donned with black and white checkered walls and an old-fashioned countertop, Krisch’s has it covered! It was so much fun to take pictures there - especially because they were nice enough to let us come in the morning!

After our fun shoot at Krisch’s, we went to Massapequa Preserve for some outside shots - did I mention the wind chill was 30 degrees? After fighting the wind, we sat our vintage bike down, popped open my umbrella and channeled our inner Noah and Allie from “The Notebook”.

What a fun experience we had that day! For anyone looking to “wow” your guests with an exciting save-the-date card/magnet/whatever you choose, I highly recommend a vintage engagement shoot. The smiles on our families & friends faces when opening up our card was priceless and it was a truly fun day for my fiancé and I."

Thank you to this lovely couple for sharing part of your journey with us! We can't wait to see your wedding photos!
